«TESTAMENTUM TERRAE» is a band playing medieval music, founded in 2003 by mater of folk instruments Juras Pankevich. The band consists of 6 members. The name is translated from Latin as “Earth’s testament”. The band plays Belarusian and European medieval songs, ballads, medieval dance and ceremonial music, and also Renaissance music. Also the band cooperate with many Belarusian and other European chivalrous clubs, museums and research centers, masters of age-old instruments, bands playing folk, court, spiritual and urban medieval music, with separate age-old instruments players. The music of the band enables to reconstruct the sound of forgotten instruments and to get into the world of traditional music . The band takes part in medieval culture festivals (“Lida Castle”(2005), “Loshitsa Festival “(2005, 2006), “Rusborg” (2006), “Rubezh (Boundary)” (2005,2006), “Grunvald”(2006,2009), “Palestine Gate” (2008, 2009), “Temple Sword” (2010), “The Country of Dreams” (2010), “Kiev Russia Park”, “Battle of Nations” (2010) and other), musical festivals and competitions. Also «TESTAMENTUM TERRAE» organizes own dance parties.
